Traditional Sledging

A magical night to remember!

This is my favourite way to spend an evening in Maria Alm. Be driven in comfort to meet with the owner of the Jufen Alm where you climb onto a traditional wooden sledge and be pulled up the mountain behind his tractor. As you wind through a snowy pine filled forest you will be able to glimpse the floodlit 2.5 Km groomed sledging run! At the top of the mountain is the Jufen Alm, one of Maria Alm's best restaurants. Here you can sit down and enjoy a traditional Austrian meal just warm up with a gluhwein, or try an infamous Jagatee before heading outside to the top of the 2.5 km sledging run and enjoy the exhilarating thrill of following the winding floodlit track all the way to the bottom.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride

Fancy a day off from skiing to enjoy the local scenery, what better way to travel than by sleigh? Let this Austrian horse drawn sleigh guide you through the beautiful Hockhkonig valley. Cross over the snow covered meadows and through towering forests, watch the world whilst being wrapped up as snug as a bug in a rug!

Get delivered there and back including the sleigh ride for 18 euros per person.  

Ice Go-Karting

The best way to tackle the Ice! Seriously test your driving skills on a track designed and owned by world famous Austrian rally driver Sepp Haider. Jump into a normal looking go-kart, onto a track you can barely stand up on. Power slide and skid your way around a snow-banked, solid ice covered track on your specially designed studded tyres, and all for 35 euros the best sideways fun you'll ever have. 

Schneewutzel Party

Great for children of all ages, come along for free every Thursday from 3 o'clock and meet Schneewurstal, have your face painted, enjoy some free drinks and sweets, and the opportunity to have your photo taken by a professional photographer! Great party for the kids and all free, just another great reason to come skiing with Skifix to Maria Alm.
