Hochkönig Connects the 4 Valleys, Over 150km linked!

At the end of our 2009/2010 season we got very excited; the rumours and talk of new lifts were finally happening! This year the entire Hochkönig region will be linked by brand new lifts.

The completion of a huge 3,6 km cabin lift will connect the ski slope between Hinterthal and Hintermoos this will totally remove the need to use a bus. This means that 150 km of connecting ski slopes along with exceptional snow conditions will await you this winter.

At the valley station, a ski centre, parking area, shops and cash registers will be available to all those who ski or board through.

Furthermore, one of the region's major aims is to modernise and increase comfort levels and most importantly- child safety. This will be achieved with the new heated 6 seat chair lift which will replace the current Hochmais lifts in Hinterthal. This is great news for anyone who has experienced the old and slow two man lift on a very cold day.

The next stage is to build a new 1,7 km 6 seat chair lift to replace the Bürglalm T-bar lift in Dienten. Again to ensure child safety as well as the outstanding conditions on the slopes in Dienten that simply can't be matched.

A modern ski centre with parking bays, sports shop with bistro, ski hire, ski depot, service and cash registers is also planned inside a new complex which will allow skiers and snowboarders to cross above the village over a 'snow bridge' eliminating the need to cross the road here.

Roll on winter I can't wait to use the new link lifts
